I mean.. if there's a change in the game or a feature you think is missing, it's likely mentioned in the patch notes. kinda ridicules they only added two, but still.

not every one mains Phasmophobia so you cant expect people to keep up with patch notes, do you read patch notes for a game you havent played in months or a year? I havent played barutrauma or Phasmophobia in like a year idk which patch notes this would be in

Typically, patch notes within the past 3 months of any given game, are still relevant, so personally, yes, I do.

Something so basic like this shouldn't rely on the patch notes, especially if it's a completely new system and not a change. Overall it shouldn't have been that hard for the devs to just show 2 loadout slots and adding the 3rd one later.

If you want information about an update or change or general information, reading a patch note should be the first thing you do. Reading recent updates also gives you an idea on what is in the game. You don't need to read the entire history, but if you're curious, whats to stop you from reading?

It's a loadout for you to make, like in Warzone where you can make a sniper class or assault, or whatever. similar idea.

not everyone reads patch notes, maybe because theyve been out of the game for a while, dont care about the game enough to care about what changes have been made, A game like phasmophobia people may not even want to know the changes and see the suprise for themselfs

or maybe. just maybe they never noticed the patch notes was even in the activity feed or overlooked such a statement
