Further, The game isn't P2P- Everyone connects to the same servers to play. Modding doesn't just affect you and your friends. So you are potentially destabilizing the experiences of other players.
And bans are in the nearish future of the game, so..
And keep in mind, that your "having fun" could turn out to "not having fun" for others on the same servers, since the game isn't made to host modded games.
but what if its just like having fun in private lobbies we're they all know and they are cool with it but not something like double xp cause that just ruins the like thing about it?
There is no 'Private' server just for you and your friends; A private game is still hosted on the official phasmophobia servers- There's no peer to peer. Think more like an MMO.
The room you make for you and your friends to join is private in that it is passworded for your use- But it's still hosted on the main server, not by any of the players.
so thats a no? To that
I rather use cheat to get some money
so its allowed to get money from cheats?
And a report system is coming down the pipes.
Basically: It's your fault if you get banned for cheating.
Is giving yourself a fake wad of cash in a game worth losing access to the game you spent REAL money on?
NO YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHEAT. It's against the rules, It's against the TOS, It's against the EULA. It affects and ruins the game for players outside your group.
BUT THERE IS NOTHING CURRENTLY STOPPING YOU FROM CHEATING. If you want to give yourself a billion dollars in game, there is literally nothing stopping you right now. There is no anti cheat system, There is no reporting system, There is no ban system.
A REPORTING/BANNING SYSTEM IS IN THE WORKS. So IF you cheat, Expect that, at some point, You're going to get nuked for it, Either via an in-game ban, Or a product key revocation that removes the game from your library, or whatever solution they end up choosing in the end.
On professional you can earn $200 in 10~ minutes pretty easily.. So that'd be $1200 an hour, $9600 for a typical 8 hour work day.. $200~k a month, $2.3~mil a year.
That's more than soldiers get, More than fire fighters.. You would earn Way more in a month than the most dangerous jobs in the world give in annual salary. Hell, you'd be making way more than many CEOs and other high ranking businessmen.
Seems very fair to me.
Instead of assuming 10 minutes in game = 10 minutes in total, instead assume the 10 minutes you spent was more like 5 or 6 hours.
Time to set up, time to investigate, time to clean up, etc.
Then run the numbers again.
10mins= 6 hours, Sure.
Objective 1: Small Map $10, Medium $30, Large $50.
Objective 2-4: $10 each.
Photos: Up to $40/round.
Bone: $10.
Money gained is multiplied by difficulty: Amataeur 1x, Intermediate 2x, Professional 3x, Nightmare 4x.
So the maximum earnable value on a small map is 40+40+10; Or $90/$180/$270/$360.
So sticking with what I previously said, On professional difficulty with 10 minute rounds dilated to 6 hours of active work...
You get $270/6=$45 an hour. Figure you'll do 1 job a day (since the jobs are at night time) 6 days a week and you're looking at $1620/wk, $6480 a month, $77,760 a year.
Fire fighters make $40~k annually.
Most dangerous job in the world is Fishing, apparently- And the median average salary is $28k.
US Minimum wage is $7.25 currently I think? Which comes out to around $15k a year for full time workers.
So..You're still makin a pretty significant amount more than other jobs that pose a significant injury/fatality risk.
Then, Consider that you can conceivably speed run jobs at a rate of closer to 4-5~mins, and you can fit 3 jobs in a night for as much as $230~k a year for a 9hr workday.
So.. I'd still say that's a hell of a pay grade that pretty well makes up for the dangers. Especially since a well knowledged ghost hunter can do the job 99% of the time without even coming close to getting killed.
