You can add items you don´t own to your loadout, and the items you do own are shown under "shop".
also, don´t forget to press "add" to add your loadout to the van afterwards
In the Lobby screen, the gear totals say, for example, "1/4" "2/2" "0/2" etc. As we all know, these numbers mean, per example "1/4," "1 of this item is on the truck, out out of 4 total allowed between all players."
In the new Loadout screen, the gear totals column say "#/#," but this does not mean the same as what it does on the Lobby screen. It's the "Number of the item you own" / "Number of this item you want to add to the truck/your loadout." This inconsistency is where the confusion lies. IMO, I think this would work better as two columns: "You Own" (the first number) and "Add to Truck/My Loadout" (the second number).
Once you choose your gear using the "+/-" keys for each item, you can save your Loadout in one of the two Loadout slots. Click "Add" to add the Loadout to the truck. This makes your next hunt Loadout easier, because you just have to click "Add," assuming you don't want to change anything.
Anytime you make changes to your Loadout, example if you want to add/subtract item/s, you'll add/subtract them with the "+/-" (maybe after buying from the shop first!), then "Save" the new Loadout. If you're on a fresh hunt, simply click "Add" to add your new Loadout to the truck. If you've already added your Loadout and *then* make changes, be sure to click "Remove" to remove anything previously added to the truck, otherwise you'll take twice the gear you meant to take, not just the new items.
Hope this helps!
