I am not sure, but it's most likely because the players can not tell the difference between Mods and Hacks. So many on this game confuse hacks with actual mods. Mods are client-side and do not affect another person's game. Hacks, on the other hand, can affect another person's round. So chances are because Reshade is a mod meant to make the game look better on "your side and has no effect on anyone else will get you banned" because it's a Mod, but oh no, modding is ruining other players' experience when for the mod to even show up for them they must have the same mod you can blame the community for crying about hacks mixing them up with actual mods.

1st what you call an exploit is not a hack
2nd your official content creators have made multiple videos on exploits

4th on another we were talking exploits and how the system can be used to against people with differing view point.
The person who made the stream made it clear it was not about racist comments or harassment, yet like clockwork people came in and made it because exploits are racist.
I know youre a small dev team and hope you great things, but can you at least address some of these concerns
Plus every one of your content creators curse on stream, I only bring these things up as examples of do what we say not what we do, I personally dont care until i get banned for what your official content creators and devs themselves are guilty of

Why on earth would you use something like reshade in a horror PVE game?

Derail in what way? Two other users were talking about exploiting even after the developer clarified that Reshade is completely fine to use. It's not an exploit.

Most developers don't give out even that much either, by the way. Things are always kept as "gray area" or ambiguous enough so the moderation or game security has enough leeway to get around by. So it's pointless to ask if actual exploits are allowed, which is what I said. Not related to Reshade, yes, but the conversation was already well beyond that established point.
