Stalker: A Ghost who mimics Banshee behaviour is a good addition, and I’m fine with the risk of using the ghosts name. The only issue I have is that the weakness is a bit too… generic, I suppose?
Since the ghost stalks the player, it might make more sense for the ghost to become more active when the player ignores it or refrains from trying to actively encourage it to do things. It’s, in essence, trying to let you know it’s there, following you, akin to a Banshee’s behaviour and becomes agitated when you ignore it’s presence.
Kiryo: The biggest issue I have with this one is the weakness is far too telling. By doing one easy to do thing, you automatically identify the ghost. I’m not really sure how to viably fix this though, but I don’t see a ghost with an obvious tell like this making the cut, despite how cool it otherwise seems.
Wangliang: This ones an interesting one, but it needs a much clearer definition on its weakness. Without knowing what “Unmasking” is defined as, the weakness doesn’t really have anything to help a player with ghost identification.
The easiest solution I can see is if being caught during a “Fake Hunt” actually refunded the lost sanity from the fake hunt (so the danger becomes not letting it catch you instead of getting caught with this permanently losing the sanity from the “hunt”). That way you can use Sanity mechanics to track how much, or if, your sanity changed to help identify the ghost. I’d also increase the range of its strength to at least 80% so it can pretend to be an early hunter and get more use out of its strength.
Ubume: Probably your best one of the bunch. I have zero problems with this ghost. It’s got a clear strength, a straightforward, but not obvious, weakness, and has non-trivial to obtain unique evidence. Excellent ghost idea.
Apparition: Likewise, a pretty good one as well. A fairly simple strength that isn’t obvious, a pretty straightforward weakness, and a pretty simple, but not obvious, unique giveaway. Another good one, though I’d say Ubume is a slightly better one with this a close second.
All in all, I can see at least 2, possibly 3 if Stalker is changed slightly, perfectly viable candidates for new ghosts, the other two would need some work before they could be additions, but with a bit of tweaking could certainly be good additions too. Overall nicely thought out ghost types, which I hope the devs at least borrow an idea or two from if not add outright.
