My wife's computer takes several minutes to load usually.
The difference? I have a NVMe hard drive (a m.2 solid state hard drive connecting via that specialized pcie connection). My wife's computer uses a solid state on a sata III connection.
When updating, I'll update within seconds as well, while I have to plan for my wife's computer to update a game and give it at least 15 minutes or more to get it done.
Maybe it'll load better once they can afford the time to optimize the game, though they are literally talking about revamping every map, so now's probably not the time for that in the EA process.
However, I'd expect load times will take at least a little while depending on your computer's setup. It's not something unique to Phasmo.
