You're definitely not alone! It is quite annoying, especially also as my eyes aren't great anyway aha xD I hope that one day you'll get a monitor with a nicer resolution and your game will look much nicer! I know that in Nvidia Control Panel 3D settings, there is a setting called DSR...or Dynamic Super Resolution.. That may actually help you with jaggy edges a bit for now, if you ever look into it... **Link below just in case you do!**
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3587/~/how-to-enable-dynamic-super-resolution-in-games.
For me it doesn't come up as an option unless I'm only running one of my three monitors. =( I'm proooobably gonna buy a separate monitor to use when I'm not playing driving sims.. Anyway, hope that helps! Maybe see you in a game one day! =)
1.Obviously make sure Anti-Aliasing is on in settings as well as running at your monitor's native resolution.
2. Find the executable. It should be located in
"C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Phasmophobia"
Right click "Phasmaphobia.exe" and click properties and navigate to the compatibility tab.
From here check "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations" and then click "Change High DPI settings" and check "Override DPI Scaling Behavior Set By Application".
3. If you have an NVIDIA Graphics card you can try going into NVIDIA Control Panel and navigate to Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings.
From here select Phasmaphobia and change "Antialiasing Mode" to "Enhance Application Settings" You should now have two settings below this that you can change.
I would recommend setting -
"Antialiasing - Setting : 2x"
"Antialiasing - Transparency :Multisample"
*If you aren't able to select Phasmaphobia in the drop down menu you have to manually add the executable. It will be found in the directory mentioned in suggestion #2.*
Please let me know if any of these suggestions improved your situation.
I'm sorry to hear that,
If I could see screenshots or preferably a screen recording of what the game looks like on your end, I might be able to lend some more suggestions.
If the issue is that distracting to you, feel free to add me so I can see the game on your end and discuss more in detail.
However, if it's not that big of a deal, I'd suggest just ignoring the issue. I've been down the rabbit hole with tech issues and trust me, sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth and leads to a dead end anyways.
I'm sorry none of my suggestions solved your issue :(
Good luck!
