Wraiths have always stepped in salt. The Wraith test involves using a UV Flashlight to check afterwards if the ghosts are stomping and leave footprints - and the Wraith is the only ghost who will not leave green footprints.

It's an easy one to check. If we have a wraith left as an option we usually place down salt with a photo camera and wait. The moment it steps in we take a picture and if it says 'footstep' we know i's not a wraith. If it says nothing or interaction we know it's a wraith :3 They don't leave footsteps behind.
