Allow the use of steam workshop
This games amazing and i know you can get a few mods on nexus but if this game opens its doors to steam workshop people could create maps and make the game more scary and in depth ect it would bring in many new players and previous players that got bored it would also allow the developer to work at his own pace modifying and fortifying the vanilla game. What do you think?

everyone will have to wait until this game comes out of early access

there are a lot of features to add to the game, and workshop is also probably one of these features, but it will take time for them to come creating the same topic over and over again will not make it come fast

Actually, it would add another headache for the dev as each update breaks the current mod versions and the unruly internet mob freaks out. :b

As the above poster said, IF Workshop support becomes available, the best time would be after the official release.

I made a post about this a bit ago but too early in development to add workshop support.

I get where you're coming from and I'll fully say I support Steam Workshop and I'd be one of the people contributing - However.

Phasmophobia is still in Early Access and quite early in development. The issue with this is likely the Kinetic Games are likely to break things as they develop the game because some features need to be added, optimized and at times code may be completely redone to make things work better. In this process it's very possible that things break. Hell this happens in games with workshop support that aren't in Early Access.

You could say let the developers do this and they just keep an open channel with the modding community. That's fair but in the state the game currently is that would be a hindrance as this would likely be a frequent back and fourth. It would be easier for both parties being Kinetic Games and the community if they held off on the idea of official mod support until the game was fully released out of early access or at least at a more stable build.

Anyways - It sucks but it's best we wait. Unfortunately this is a highly requested feature so in my view at this point Kinetic Games needs to make a sticky with a FAQ and acknowledge this. I support Steam Workshop support however it's not likely anytime soon. The unfortunate reality is this would add more work to the developers rather than relieving it as the upkeep for mod support would be too much in the current stage the game is in.
