Solo Professional Tips
Hey guys. I am clearly not the best Phasmophobia player in the world. I would like to do more professional rounds with friends to fit in. Do you guys have any tips that i can work on with solo rounds?

A good tip is to keep calling the ghosts name to a minimum as it can increase activity and lower your sanity over time. Always keep a good stock of pills and keep your sanity over 70 as I have noticed that anything below that your in danger of hunts. The crucifixes have a working range of three meters from the ghost so maps that have smaller rooms such as Tanglewood you have a higher chance of the crucifixes being in the correct spot. I suppose the only other thing that might be good to know is one of the easier ways to identify the ghost room is by using the thermometer, the EMF, and the parabolic mic. You wander with the parabolic mic to see which part of the house is producing the most noise (or activity) and use the thermometer to identify which part is the coldest (any room under 12 Celsius is sure to be the ghost room). The EMF is useful in case you hear something thrown or a door opening but aren't sure exactly where it came from. By running around the house with the EMF you can identify where the sound originated. I'm not sure if any of this was useful as I'm not sure how much you know or specifically what your'e looking for, but this is all useful information for newer players.

Been following this myself, just started playing the other day. Been pretty good help even at the school and such.

Thank you! Am i correct in thinking that the house or map is cold throughout due to the breaker being off?

Yes. The house will take a few to warm up after the breaker is turned on. After that, you should be able to reliably use a thermo to ID the ghost room.

Thank you so much for confirming!

In larger maps consider just carrying around a good flashlight, a lighter and a candle. Your sanity will NOT go down as long as you got a lit candle. You won't get a lot of activity since it's sanity relevant but you might get some, like a door opening. If the ghost does do anything to reduce your sanity the candle won't defend against that. Your sanity will not go down otherwise.

Keep track of your sanity and try to have the crosses and smudge sticks inside the house prior to getting to 50 sanity.

if you keep a lit candle in your hand it'll make your sanity drain slower. I generally go in with A candle, EMF ready and a video camera.

Hold candle until i hear a door move or an item getting dropped and then approach, switch to emf and hope i get a beat and see if it's enough to consider that area to be the ghost room.

Video camera can be used to look for orbs in night vision, or be your eyes if your candle runs out or gets blown.

This is all after you're comfortable with the map layout.

Keep your sanity up as much as you can (unless you want to get hunted). Turn on lights as you head to the breaker so they are on when you turn the breaker on. Have a good escape/hiding plan. Don't panic if it starts to hunt. Don't run into a place that has no good hiding spots and no way out. Close doors behind you as you go. If hunted, drop your electronic gear and shut off your flashlight when you are hiding (don't use T, apparently that's bugged, though I've lived when doing that before). Don't risk your life for 10 bucks (maybe for 20, but that's debatable).

the best way would be to watch insym, he does solo professional and makes it look easy, i've learned a ton just watching him play, you can just learn solo of course, but it depends weather you enjoy watching others etc

Enter the house with candle first. Go directly to the circuit breaker then wonder around the house to see where your candle was blown. Next comeback with thermometer to check which room is the exact point. If you hear any sound just go to your trailer and pick the AV flashlight to see if there're any fingerprint then comeback with VDO camera and DOT. After that you can come with anything left. If you found Ouija board make sure you have EMF reader with you and don't forget the candle to help maintain your sanity if the ghost with EMF 5 answer you the EMF will indicate level 5.

Hope this will help.
