Why does the journal call them jinn?
It should say jinni or genie, shouldn't it? We're only ever dealing with one at a time, and the other ghost types aren't pluralized.
"Hmm, yeah guys, it looks like we've got a poltergeists this time. Glad it wasn't a demons."
Literally unplayable.

Maybe it's like a mecha where multiple jinni dock onto one another.

Yes technically it should say jinni but it is more commonly known to be either Djinn or jinn as it is evil.

Also the naming is fine because after all they can be good (Genie), evil (Djinn), or neutrally benevolent. so having Genie written instead of jinn would be misleading as the jinn in game is naturally bad (i.e wants to hunt/kill you)

Yeah okay so basically its Arabic in origin, usually mentioned with Devils/Demons and is associated with misfortune and deception. Although there is no mention of wishes or anything related to a Genie. A Genie is also bound to a specific object, usually a conduit (I think thats the term), which the Djinn is not. So yes, its different :praisesun:

Jinn (Arabic: جن‎, jinn), also Romanized as djinn or Anglicized as genies (with the broader meaning of spirits or demons, depending on source)

Also a Genie is like the angelic version of the Djinn or Jinn, and since we are dealing with an evil one, its Djinn.

Are you sure you didn't misread "anglicized" as "angelic"? Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, tells me that there's no difference among the three, they're just different ways to spell it.

I did find some third party website...although probably not as reliable as Wikipedia, just ignore it. :praisesun:

Djinn and Jinni are romanized versions of Jinn. its the same word just the original spelling (this is like asking why greek books say heracles instead of hercules)
