i think everyone knows a bit about modding right?
so theres this mod manager for the game and everytime i try to launch the game with the manager it will crash. pls tell me why. its probably because its bypassing the anti cheat. but in a game like this some poeple would feel way less scared having mods/hacks.

You shouldn't be modding the game in the first place; it's just not built for it.

You should just play another game if this game it too scary for you instead of modding / hacking it.

As long as you're not cheating / altering the game experience to abuse others online, there's no harm in modding this game. Nexus Mods already has a few mods out which change some in-game images, change some sounds or add new shaders.

If you use mods its at your own risk. So far the stance is no.

So if you want to possible risk getting banned, then do as you please.

This game has never been scary. Even in vr it literally needs to spawn in your face to be anything near scary.

Maybe you should ask the mods/mod manager creator...
Unless someone using the same mod manager happens to check this thread, I doubt you'll find anyone who'll be able to help you here.

I understand that not all modding is bad or intentionally harmful, but the game in of itself doesn't seem very stable when it comes to accepting mods as some threads imply. I'd just like the game to be more stable with mod support before I would actively encourage it. Once (or if) that is accomplished, then I'd love to see some of the mods offered to the game.

Don't mod the game. I've had missions ruined because of it.
> I've had someone use Super Speed to cross High School in 2 seconds.
> I've had someone use Super Jump to get on the roof.
> I've had someone turn on all the lights in the place, ignoring the breaker.
> I've had someone locks all the doors including closets and lockers.

That's not modding, that's using a trainer or cheat engine. There is a difference between using mods and using CheatEngine or whatever to actively cheat and/or grief. Please don't place script kiddies in the same category as modders. It's insulting to the amazing work that some modders have done over the years.

What do you expect in 2021 when a good part of the videogames players use the word "hacking" instead of "cheating/using scripts" :D ? Internet increased the gap between people with knowledge and those without.

Anyway, if we're talking about scripts users, yeah, Vade Retro Satanas.
If we're talking about modders, praise their work when it adds meaningful things to the game.

Gotta wonder why you're even playing this if it's too scary. That's kinda the point. You could just go play something else.
