Custom Ghost Names?

I've seen people randomly get names like Betty White, James Brown and Micheal Jackson. I'm sure those are pure coincidence but it kinda got me thinking, what if we could add custom names? Like we type in a random first name or surname and we have the option to turn custom names on or off so we could end up with say a 'Ken Adams'. Anyways, just a thought.

Its a cool idea, however I reckon it cannot work for one reason. Voice recognition. The developer has developed recognition for these auto generated names. Some guy will type the name "qwertyuiop" and it would be impossible to pronounce and for the game to recognise.

They name's only needed to anger the ghost. There are a few ways to increase ghost activity without using the name.

True, but angering the ghost is a crucial gameplay mechanic at times. If you want to get a picture without the ghost hunting you, or if you want a very elusive ghost (shade) to reveal its location while on a large map, angering it is the best way.

michael jackson is only allowed in game when there is a squad of 4 teenagers in ridgeview... just like what happened with me lmao

but tbf i wouldn't mind custom ghost names, but i dont feel like the developers would implement this.

You could also curse or stay stuff like "i'm scared" which also provoke the ghost.
