Hiding in a closet by yourself
Hey, since the new update added holding closet doors closed, I have wondered... if I am hiding in a closet with two doors (like in Ridgeview), do I only need to hold one closed? Or do I need to have someone in the closet with me holding the other door?

Ohh okay. So I don't need to just like sit and hold it closed, just wait till it tries and then pull it closed? It won't kill you? I feel like just opening the closet door AT ALL would give it enough of a "grasp" on you to kill you.

I've had it open the second door a couple of times while I've been hiding in a closet, but so far it has never come in and spotted me, it's always left.

Maybe I got lucky.

The ghost needs to see you to kill you, so if you can close the door fast enough as it's opening, it won't be able to get LOS on your person.

That said, it's definitely nerve-wracking to be holding one closet door shut, then seeing the other door start to open, so you let go of the first door and slam the second door shut, then the first door starts to open again... >:)

In almost all cases you need only hold one, just sit on that side of the closet with the one you're holding closed. Make any noise and you're dead though :)

If you hide against one side, then the door on the other side can completely open without the ghost getting you, as long as you are hugging that opposite wall. Though in general you can close the door fast enough, that it wont kill you.

The problem is if both doors are open, or if the door your hiding behind opens all the way.

You should have enough time to close both doors immediately, though I would always prioritize the one you're closest to as it's the most likely to grant LoS when opened.
