Car alarm cant be turned off. we need a fix for this ASAP

Car keys are in a bowl on a small table right at the entrance of the house.
Once you have them, just click on the car to stop it.

Unless you are saying you've done this and it doesn't work, in which case yeah.. that's a bug that would need to be fixed quick. That'd be so annoying.

I don't think I have ever even experienced the car alarm.

I did. During one of my very first investigations, the horn started to blare

Oooh, only the host is able to do it? That would explain why my friend is the only one that never seems to have trouble with it.

I have consistently had trouble turning off the car alarm. Didn't matter if he or I grabbed the key. Didn't matter if I left-clicked, right-clicked, pressed E or F or even G for that matter, anywhere on the car, and I've tested this again and again. I even checked to see if the same bug that affects voice recognition after alt-tabbing also could have affected this, but I haven't had any luck there either.
I think I've been able to turn off the alarm once, maybe twice, which I guess must've been one of the few times that I hosted the game. Normally my mate hosts all our games. So don't dismiss our problem like we're making silly little things up in our heads, lol. Same goes for @DasaKamov. That's just disrespectful.

Not on willow. No one can do it no matter who picks up keys. I've tested this many times.

I always yank them from the bowl in tanglewood just to be safe.

There's currently a bug where only the host can turn it off.

It's not the host. I've just played to confirm this. It's whoever picks up the car keys. They are usually located in a bowl or on a side table near the front door but can be found in other locations as well on some maps. Look in your journal and you'll see if you are the one with the car key. Only that person can turn off the car alarm. Which means, if they die, the alarm stays on.

I've tried that. I pick up the car keys half the time, and even when I do, I find that I can't do it, but my buddy who hosted can
