How do you complete "Have a member of your team escape the Ghost during a hunt"

Hey Guys,

I played this game with my friends post-update with the new added objective "Have a member of your team escape the Ghost during a hunt" but we soon find that sometimes we are unable to complete this objective even though all of us survived the hunt. Is there anyone experiencing the same problem or perhaps it was just me being dumb and not understanding the objective correctly?

I think you need to make the ghost lose sight of you during a hunt to make it count as "escape the ghost"?

We've done that, on mine as well but it never counted.

Does that mean that you have to be spotted and then have the ghost lose sight of you or do you just have to hide in a room and not let the ghost spot you at all?

Yes. It has to see you first in order to complete that objective. sometimes of course it won't see you even if you are really close to it, so you have to try again.

Alright thank you for the explanation. Just one more question tho. If the ghost spotted me, chased me, and I light up a smudge stick to repel the ghost, will that count as me completing the objective?

If you don't hear the heartbeat then it's possible that the ghost didn't acquire line of sight of you. Also, the small grace period at the beginning of a hunt will not count toward the objective either even if you have LOS.
