What I'd also like to see is ghosts grabbing you from the front instead of the same death animation over and over.
1. Have an option to exorcise the ghost during server creation.
2. When finished figuring out which ghost it is (either right or wrong) and gone back to the truck, you get a loading screen and reload into the same map with the tools required to exorcise the ghost you all had logged in your journal during the first phase.
3. Gameplay loop and tools could be implemented to end the ghost and if successful, get a reward for the efforts in some way.
With this, if you were wrong in the 1st phase, the exorcism will(or may not but be harder) fail and therefore loose XP/Money perhaps?
At present, the game will be sound without it though but potential expanding once complete wouldn't be a bad idea.
I agree with you... After ideintifiying the ghost, there could be some kind of "secondary mission" where the team can exorcisice the ghost or trap it in some kind of ghost-trap.
However, if you fail on the identification of the ghost then the exorcism or ghosht-trapping would go wrong and your team would die for sure. So you must be very sure that you're doing it well.
