I have never ever had more than 3 evidence in any run whatsoever.
Only times more than 3 decides to pop its head up is when people misinterpret things and think they are evidence.
Like some people thinking the footsteps that occur after a ghost walks through salt and show up with UV are fingerprints when they are not.
EMF 4 being read as EMF5, or people not watching carefully enough to the activity screen on the van and seeing a regular EMF 5 reading and thinking its the one that indicates EMF5 when its not.
People not looking carefully enough and thinking the freezing breathe orbs are ghost orbs.
People not knowing what the freezing temps are on the thermometer and incorrectly assuming freezing temps.
Other than those I have never seen 4-5 legitimate pieces of evidence in any run.
It is almost certain someone misread the EMF, or someone said "I got EMF" meaning they just got a reading in general but others thought they meant EMF 5. You can kind of tell EMF by sound but I always confirm it. If you don't see that red light, it isn't EMF 5. Also, I always say "EMF 5" and never say "I got EMF" to avoid confusion. Usually there is no need to mention getting EMF in general, but if you got it for the objective, or are trying to find the ghost room, it might be brought up.
When I hosted my friends the EMF reader wouldn't work correctly for me. It would only show me a reading after someone else with an EMF got a reading, other players would sometimes hear my EMF reader go off but there would be nothing showing for me. Don't know if a bug and fixed or issue with me hosting but when a friend started hosting the EMF worked fine for me. Having had issues with other detection devices before it wouldn't surprise me if your EMF reader bugged out.
That was the only time we ever had something like that happen, though.
