Or did you find the spooks already in the game really to be jumpscares? I do not. The dev(s) have a sense in doing it properly I guess.
For instance I was close to the exit but not near it, then the ghost materialized in the hallway and ran towards me of which I backed off, it disappeared and I ran to the exit, it POPPED UP at the door and simutanously closed it while I stopped and stared at the ghost, then it vanished.
But maybe you did, being a thread-necromancer and all. :b
