Need push to talk in solo

I can't reliably hide from the ghost while playing solo because my mic must be too sensitive and is picking ambiant sounds non stop, they need to disable that thing because its frustrating, i should have control on whenever i want to make noise or not, plain simple.

Pretty sure you can control on whenever you want to make noise or not. It just seems like your mic is problem. Also you can turn it off right? In PC-settings

i have a feeling it's not the mic noise causing issues but rather the equipment (since having that out now gives away your location), i can be loud as hell on mic but the moment i pull out a flashlight i'm dead

I have a 350€ microphone so i should be fine with it, i'm not using any electronics, you suggest i go to pc-settings everytime a hunt start to turn off my mic ?

That's not what i meant >.> You can't use that settings in game anyway, only in main menu. Check is your push to talk off on that settings. And tbh i never had that problem that ghost could catch you with your mic on.

Windows has several mic filters. Try em out. Also kill your mic boost, since it is usually the top 1 reason people might get audible mic noise.

I actually had quite i bit of fun testing that non sense so here you go:

-Scratching my nose: DEAD
-Adjusting my headset: DEAD
-Typing my keyboard to loud: DEAD
-Clicking my mouse too to loud: DEAD
-Turning my head to see if my familly's alright: DEAD
-Someone in my house making the slightest noise: DEAD
-Sneezing: DEAD ( I can already see some joker saying " retain it LUL " ) super bad to do that from a medical stand point.
-Coughing: DEAD ( Same story )

Could put more but i think you got the point, DK if you're passing by please hear me out, i know you want the absolute best for the game and that is why the game is so amazing but please give us the option to disable open mic in solo, nobody will miss it

If you have this problem, it doesn't mean everyone have same problem as yours. I don't have this problem, my friends don't have this problem either. Pretty sure randoms here don't have this problem either. Maybe it's not game, maybe you need do something with your mic or windows mic/audio settings

@ N O P E I'm Glad you and your friends doesn't have this issue but you and your friends aren't the only people playing the game and i know other people that have issues with that open mic aswell.

And yet i don't see them complaining here, maybe if they had this issue, maybe they fixed this themselves. Maybe you should try fix it by yourself as well.

I like the idea of GHOST ALWAYS LISTENING and i think it should stay that way

I can agree with this, but I also can agree people should have a choice in having it open/closed. A great look into this is my friend (level 488) who plays only prof died 4 times yesterday after first time playing the new patch, and hardly ever died before unless we was doing stupid things for fun. The reason behind it was eventually narrowed down to the mic being open. After the 4 times she died I had told her about it, and she had muted just as the hunts had started and never had a issue since then. She does have background noise as she normally watches TV while playing games for background noise, so I do feel some of it does have to do with mics being open for some. It may all depend on the hardware/software such as noise canceling or whatever I grant you that, but I do feel for some it "can" be a problem.

There is a few discussions about it actually, meaning you're being negative and passive aggressive for no good reasons( and apparently lazy aswell ) , if an issue isn't affecting most people on a game it doesn't mean you don't have to do anything about it, thank god you're not developing phasmo or any games for that matter

Have you tried actually making your voice less loud through Windows settings? Maybe you're just boosting it so much even ghosts consider it a loud blast of sound?

Oh I've not had this issue myself. ^.^; Tho no their mic is as it's always been, the new changes to sensitivity tho has made it where it picks up more things in the background for our entire groups mics we've noticed, but yea we went through the whole thing of volume and all that. xD Just muting it fixed the issue. Lol So that's why my guess it could be hardware/software related. I use a Arctis Pro Wireless headset, so never had a issue thanks to the noise canceling, and other great features it has. =3

First, you don't know anything about me.

Second, did you actually try to fix this problem by yourself? For example enable noise cancelling, reduce your mic sound etc???

I know well enough about you by now and yes i did, i'm done tweaking it because it works flawlessly in any other games.

How i temporarly fix the issue is to get the spirit box as soon as possible and then turn off my mic for the rest of the run, i even noticed that talking to the ghost doesn't really spike the activity level that much anymore or it does but its barely noticable, if the ghost want to do something, he does it, you can't force it to do anything

I guess keep using your "temporary fix", I don't understand why do you still have problem with it even you have expensive microphone and there is ways to fix it, but yet still it doesn't help. Turning mic on or off is just same thing as pressing push to talk.
