Grafton it was hanging around the upstairs storage room by the lockers when I tried there, but Ghosts are touchy when it comes to actually opening the locker and killing you at times.
That is one thing alot of people are trying to get them to change cause it makes it too easy to be able to tell if a hunt is happening or not since your other equipment only malfunctions when in proximity to the ghost now.
Yep there is only one way to make it work.
During a hunt all radios (global chat) stop working. Or have it to where anyone near the ghost's influence ( where it causes your stuff to malfunction) can no longer hear or transmit anything on their radio, but everyone else out of the influence can still hear and use the radios.
If you press the button the ghost will be able to hear you clicking it to try to get it to work.
However if a teammate presses the button you will not hear anything from your radio at all.
This way teammates can't purposely attract the ghost to other people and get them killed, or trolls use it for the same purpose.
If you want to check the global you will have to put yourself in danger to do it.
They took away global light flickering and left us with guessing if the ghost is going for a stroll on the other side of the house or hunting. It's only natural people are going to use the only assurance we have that "yes, this is a hunt and not a ghost event".
That doesn't help people in the house determine it's a hunt, and that's where the whole bit of using the Radio to tell if there's a hunt comes from.
That's why im skeptical about it.
Highschool in profissional was super easy, so idk, Asylum shouldn't be that much different neither.
Brownstone was never all that difficult unless you have a Rev or a Jinn. With Sprint, it's even easier to flee from the ghost through class rooms or zooming through the hallways to the stairs.
If you end up having trouble finding the ghost due to it being somewhat passive with the door handling, you really can't tell if it's a ghost event or a hunt. Ghost events where the ghost paths around sounds identical to a hunt thanks to them now stomping around. The only visual factor is the equipment pulsing out of control. And I've found that if I'm close enough for the equipment to pulse, I'm likely close enough for the Ghost to sense and follow my Flashlight.
My team had an unpleasant experience where it hunted from behind us and cut off our escape route on the basement of Asylum. It chased us all the way to the conference room, and ended up killing me as no amount of LoSing could get it off us. Even a Smudge and a sprint around the corner didn't stop it from chasing us down, even with both of our Flashlights out and off.
If you don't have an EMF near the ghost hunting, and if you're not within visual range of lights flickering, your only option to check if it's a hunt is to hit your radio.
