Agreed, it's sad that people fall into that, as well as so much troll baiting and pointless time was. Such is the fate of internet simps
In any case, it's actually great that phasmophobia made such a debut that others started popping out, more horror games to try. It needs a lot of polishing this one, but it just came out and the focus on interactions give it a lot of potential
So here's hoping to see how it pans out =)
How? the knockoffs aren't even really attempting to make their games good, they're just monetizing the lust for the genre. Obvious cashgrabs getting called out for being bad should be the norm, not a "disgusting mentality".
Too much garbage is allowed to float on this platform because of this false anti-gatekeeping mentality, which is why there's thousands of unity asset flips, 5 minute porn puzzle games, demo-length RPG maker wastes of time, etc.
If you're going to hop into a market, at least try to properly make a competing product. If the only thing they're doing is a 10th of what Phasmophobia is under the guise of "give us money so we can improve" then it's obvious you're not actually interested in proving, you just want a quick dip inside the money box.
