Might be because the ghost hates swearing almost as much as its name being called, so even though Christ isn't being used in the same context here it still interprets it as swearing

Apparently walking into the house for the first time, entering a room and saying "show us a sign", results in the lights going off, the door slamming, a mug being flipped over and the ghost showing itself - all within 30 seconds of entering the building.

The more chatter you make the more activity you’ll get. The voice recognition has a small amount of commands to directly respond to aside from the volume of your voice.

i can confirm a friend of mine did the exact same, instantly summoned the ghost and it started hunting in less then a second

It's not an actual phrase the game/ghost recognizes, so must've been coindidence.

Actually saying "ghost" "Scary" and stuff like that also disturbs them. We got a hunt after saying teh ghosts name and calling it a little b word *But the actual word* it works really well, try it...just let everyone know you're going to cuss and make sure all's good.

That phrase, "The Power of Christ Compels You", wasn't hard programmed in to anger the ghosts last time I checked, if it still isn't then my guess is that it was probably the yelling as anything that would count as "screaming" angers the ghosts. The ghost have a three tier list of things that annoy/anger them.

lowest tier (only annoys, not angers) is things like talking about how scary it is, asking/demanding it to show itself, and saying either just it's first or last name.

middle tier (angers the ghost), this would be things like saying the ghosts full name and screaming/yelling

highest tier (have fun dying to pissed ghost), this is swearing (you can find a full list in the guide section) or calling the ghost Bloody Mary instead of it's name (there are also reports that it would target the players that call it Bloody Mary first over the other players.

Crucifix doesnt work if u hold it in hand.. it just has a chance to prevent ghost from hunting if ghost spawn within 6ft of crucifix when its place down on ground.

Crucifix doesnt work if u hold it in hand.. it just has a chance to prevent ghost from hunting if ghost spawn within 6ft of crucifix when its place down on ground.

Fun fact: It does work actually. If you want to test it, go into a ghost room that's small enough to be stopped with 1 crucifix and stand with it in hand. Eventually it'll disappear from your hands due to preventing 2 hunts.
