Ouija Board not working

Hey, I would like to ask you guys if I am the only one who is having problem with Ouija Board. I am always asking questions listed on the Phasmophobia wiki, but none of them are working. In every youtube video that I was watching, the board was working as intended. I am having no problem with microphone because the ghost is answering on the Spirit Box properly. This is happening with Spirit Box ghosts and also with non-Spirit Box ghosts. I have even tried to place the board on some kind of higher place like table or boxes, but still no answer at all. I have found the Ouija Board like 3 or 4 times already, but the ghost never responded to the board.

Anybody who knows what is the problem ?

I don't know if this is the problem you're having, but when my friends and I find the ouija board, it will only respond to one of us, and it's not the same person every time.

I even read something about the board on the wiki and it says this "there is a 67% chance for the Ouija Board to respond and a 33% chance to anger the ghost." I mean... once when I was asking questions, the lights started flickering and I just pissed off the ghost and few moments later it started to hunt, but it never moved the planchette on the board. It also dropped my sanity by 40% like written on the wiki.

I asked about this yesterday and got no idea how to fix it.

However I think I found a solution - Today I was vs a Jinn, actually I am still. I found a Ouija Board and started asking questions, instead of slow I started asking them a bit faster and multiple questions after each other - To my suprise it worked and started to respond.

if you ask the board and the lights start flickering, that means the game has registered your question but the ghost refused to answer.

If you ask the Box a question there should atleast be a "Nothing detected" on the box. That means the game has registered your question but the ghost is not close enough or doesnt talk via the box

If the "Nothing detected" doesnt appear, then the game didnt hear you. Either the voice recognition is bugged out or your mic has issues.

A common fix for the voice recognition is tabbing in and out of the game. BUT you HAVE to do it by hitting tab and the windows key. And you HAVE to click on the game with your mouse, anything else never works for fixing that bug,atleast for me.

Yeah, I know it refused, but I am wondering why am I having problems with Ouija Board when I am having no problem at all with Spirit Box and yeah the Spirit Box is showing either "Nothing Detected" or the word the ghost says.

Because except this refused answer I got no answer at all. Not even more refusals. Just nothing is happening when I am talking to the ghost through Ouija Board.

I was playing Farmhouse and the ghost was Spirit which needs a Spirit Box as an evidence. I put the Spirit Box and Ouija Board next to each other and asked questions like: "How old are you?". "Where are you?", "Are you old?" etc. The ghost was talking through Spirit Box, but nothing was happening with the board. Not even flickering lights.

Yes the board was turned on every time I asked something.

I've heard this, too, and I can confirm this has been the case for my group multiple times. It also has only ever answered age and location questions for me, for some reason.

I didn't mention it in my earlier post but that's the same for my group. We only get answers for age and location.

For me it will register my friends voice but not mine on the Ouija board, this has been the case for the past few recent games

i encountered the same thing. when i brought it up everybody attacked me here in discussions saying it wasnt a bug and that its supposed to not work as intended lmao

Hi, my friends and I encountered the same thing with the Ouija Board just recently. Our microphones were working just fine. Voice Recognition and Spirit Box even registered our voices (we did it just to confirm if it was our mic that's the issue here or not), however when we were using the Ouija Board, the planchette didn't move nor did the board flicker. It used to work just fine 2 days ago and for some reason it wasn't working this time around. It's not just the one person in our team, it's all of us being unable to get a response from the Ouija Board. Yesterday, we ran 4 jobs and had Goryos, a Demon and a Shade and all they did was interact with the environment whenever we asked a question on the Ouija Board. We only asked age and location questions and we even placed the board in the ghost room but the board didn't respond at all. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi, my friend and I are having the same problem. There are two friends in our group who will use the board normally, but when we try to use, we don't get a response, neither negative nor positive. We tried to ask in English and Portuguese, but it doesn't work in either language, as for my other two friends, the questions work correctly in Portuguese, but with the answers in English. It seems that the game is not able to understand what we are saying or get the correct signal from our microphone, but it is the same as what other people have said before, the spirit box always works correctly, only the board doesn't :(

Hey so the 1 thing that made this fix was that i raised the microphone from my windows settings or trying to see if the mic is working by using spirit box, if spirit box works than the board is probably just glitched.
