Items/Insurance?
Afiak i loose items i have on myself (maximum of 3) when i die. What about items i placed in house e.g. camera?
What happened with my items another group member carried when i die?
What happened when another group member died carrying one of my items?

Yes. Usually people would rely on one person as 'supplier' of equipment, they may stay in the truck after the room is found to keep an eye on everyone sanity and mission objectives. Others that didn't pool items is basically have nothing to lose, the downside is only a much lower payout if they died. By keeping the 'supplier' alive and safe you can keep playing any map without losing any precious team equipment. There's also exploit that if the supplier dies they would just leave the session before the round is finished and got all of their items back, though there's also some bugs associated with disconnected players during hunting phase where the game would behave erratically, and in rare cases causing ghost hunting indefinitely, so keep that in mind.

If you die you lose everything you brought with you even if it never left the van.
So long as you survive you get to keep all your items no matter who used it and who else died.

Player death = loss of all items invested in lobby for said match. Insurance is paid out at lower difficulty equal to % of the sum of your invested equipment's worth.

50% to 25% is the only amount you can get back in cash, 0% is the next step up which means nothing.

If you 'end session via esc menu' after dying instead of leaving via truck or having the entire session end with everyone dying, you actually 'cancel' out of losing your stuff as it does not save any progress.

You only lose your items if you die, if for example you put 3 thermometer for the team and then one of them is killed while carrying one but you survived the stage you wouldn't lose any of the thermometer, even if you left it inside the house. If you die you'd lose all 3 even when none of your team is dying or not using the thermometer.
