Is this game worth it as an exclusively solo player?

Yes you can do everything the game has to offer as a solo.

To be honest you get the full feeling for the game playing as a solo because it feels scarier being alone.

67 hrs and I only about 2 or 3 of those were multiplayer. Solo doesn't just work here, it's the superior experience imo (though to be fair many would say the opposite). At the very least it works very well. If you don't want to go in completely blind then I recommend youtuber dusktheviking - his solo plays are the best imo (no obnoxious screaming, just quiet analysis) and what initially got me to take the plunge with this game, which I'm seriously glad I did.

I have very limited play time in this game. But personally i find it far more tense if you play alone. When I played with others i wasn't that much 'on edge'... Maybe that changes with more hours of play time where it all becomes 'routine', solo or with others.

Id say you can have fun Solo, though I do feel the experience is enhanced if you have a friend who takes it seriously and/or is going in blind with you.

It depends on what you're looking for with it. Solo definitely helps enhance the horror aspects, since you don't have a team to back you up and if the ghost hunts you then it could all be over in an instant.
Multiplayer does allow for a more fun and laid back experience, especially with a group of friends that you know well enough already. It becomes more of a social game where you can either play more seriously or just ♥♥♥♥ around for fun.

Mostly depends on what you're looking to get out of the game but it certainly is worth for the solo play if you're looking more for the horror aspect.

I do both. I find playing with my friends far easier, as we can do multiple jobs at once and notice something another player does not. I tend to make really good money with my 2 friends and we get it done. Alone, eh.....much harder. Scarier. Alone I'm more apt to just walk on a job. But I can gather clues, and sometimes I identify the ghost etc etc.
Good practice alone. Far more terrifying.
I'd say it's more fun to play with a friend or two or three. It's scarier to play it alone. And harder. But doable.

im solo player too. everybody can play solo.
but u will miss the fun of CO-OP. its very fun, funny and enjoyable.
I feel more scared when I play solo.

I'm almost level 250 playing 99%+ solo. I've played a few times multi just to help someone out.
It was definitely worth the money and then some for me.
BTW, I also watch Dusktheviking. He's fun to watch play and is full of great tips.

Sure, you COULD, but I can't do it. Until the "ghosts" are more threatening or have more substance, the enjoyment comes from playing with others who are getting scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and whatnot.

But hey, to each their own! You enjoy it however you wish, just as long as you don't hack.

as solely solo player I don't think so. Online is really fun and being solo is hard for professional maps. I think since the winter sale is going on it's worth the 12 bucks to just see if you like it :)

It is quite doable solo. You don't have to deal with the headache of team mates who don't want to listen. I just started playing solo more now and have a blast. I can go at my own pace.
