Take some influences from Grave Encounters 1 and 2
Put the VAN INSIDE.

Having doors,stair cases change where they leave, even sometimes to no where,

Having scary huminoid creatures 8 feet tall climb through a window and run at you,

Having the ghost show it self be up in corners or on walls,

Having hands reaching through teh wall with dramatic screams nad growls at the player,

Even letting players get DRAGGED through the halls, perhaps savable,perhaps not.

The game is fantastic and has anywhere but up to go, its blowing up and I think upping the scare factor is key! Even higher!

Almost all of those things would ruin what makes this game great.

This game is tv ghost hunting but the ghosts are actually real. Having "scary huminoid creatures 8 feet tall climb through a window and run at you" is not in line with that theme at all. Neither is space bending/map shifting and having screaming hands coming out of the walls is just generic horror. The ghost appearing in the corners or the being dragged bit could maybe work but the other would absolutely be out of place and kill the vibe.

And if you actually watch Grave Encounters 1 and 2, The movies are played almost entirely like this game.

Paranormal investigators looking for ghosts. Not 8 foot tall monsters.

Lets not pretend we're hunting actual Onis that crossed over from Japan to become a child ghost named Michael Jackson. They're classifications that tell you what kind of behavior to expect.

they should add oni's that look like oni's they added a model that looks like a yurei (the gurdge one.)

"upping the scare factor" could also kill the game. Hands through the walls with screams can easily cheapen the game.

The dev does want to set it up so that when you sanity is low enough you can see things like shadowy figures in the windows from outside or inside. So they could have you see things move around but they don't need to make noise.

Demons in the context of this game are just a type of ghost not like demons in other media. Not shark toothed split jawed monsters. Not biblical demons. In this game they are the ghost of a dead person. Thats it. You idiot.

i mean while i am not for tall demons because clipping issues and other having to resize rooms etc.

i do think somthing that looked like a strigoi would still fit the games theme.

Should note, none of the ghost models are tied to specific ghost types; AFAIK, any ghost "Species" can use any of the models.
