I have a feeling there's something not lining up when it comes to what output is being picked up by the game. I'll try doing some updates with nvidia broadcaster and relaunching VMB, but for the most part, I'm stumped.
Like I said, I had it working before the update, just don't know what happened between then and now.
Tysm
Of course, here's the steps:
Right Click the sound Icon on your taskbar(bottom right) and open your sound settings
Underneath Input, choose your microphone(in my case, it'll be Nvidia Broadcast, as I use that to filter and clean up my sound)
If that doesn't fix your problem, make sure to set your steam voice input to the same thing
Steam's Voice input can be found by opening your friends page(bottom left icon on the steam launcher 'Friends & Chat')
Click the cogwheel underneath the X to close window and going to the voice setting list that's on the left
change your voice input device to the microphone/device that you use.
That's basically how I got mine working.
I also made sure to set my Voice Meeter to be my normal microphone, but I'm just running my microphone through nvidia broadcast so I'm using that as the final output.
Your voice doesnt go to ALL SOUNDS, only for Discord or etc. For example I have 5 routes:
- A1 - My microphone
- A2 - Discord to MY HEADPHONES
- A3 - Discord to OBS
- B1 - ALL SOUNDS
- B2 - Sounds to OBS
You need to add route from A1(my microphone) to B1(All sounds). Go to your voicemeeter and set on your microphone route (my A1) button B1(All sounds).
And dont forget to change you input and output device at steam settings
Idk your sets in voicemeeter but I hope that awful answer will help... :)
I appreciate it, however I figured it out quite a while back. :) Thanks for posting anyway! ^_^
