Can't activate Ouija boards in VR?

Using an HTC Vive with the regular old tracked motion controllers. I cannot, for the life of me, activate the Ouija board. I can pick it up using the grips, but I can't "activate" it. Any insight? Am I doing it wrong?

i haven't played in vr, mainly because i hate vr movement. You should be able to turn it on like you do light switches, while maybe not holding it?

Tried everything. Even so far as holding my hands above, *below*, and all around the ouija board. I literally have to get a friend that plays flat to activate it for me.

I feel like there are a couple of activation problems in vr. I can't activate the Video Camera at all.
Although I have managed to get out of the map.

I haven't played in the current patch with VR but I could pick up the board with the grip and pull the triggers to turn it on

I have been able to activate video cameras, but only before placing on a tripod. Grip the camera in hand, then trigger to turn it on. Hopefully that works.
Still can't operate ouija boards though. :/

its the same as the camera in your hand with the trigger and it will turn on
