Did you get it just by breath or did you buy a thermometer? Temperature can drop low enough to see breath but 'technically' not be freezing. Kind of annoying that thermometer isnt a starting item though.
Just because the room is below the 10c/50f does NOT mean the evidence is freezing temperatures. Those temps aren't freezing. Technically if it gets below 2.9c/37f(I think) then it will reach freezing temps.
Temperatures are a static singular number that dwindles down based on the ghosts presence, down to a low end limit. However, the thermometer will take that number and add an amount randomly between something like -3,+3, so it can "fluctuate". This is why if it reaches 2.9c, it'll be freezing, as that's below what a non-freezing temp ghost would reach.
It sounds like in this case, it wasn't freezing temps, and the OP jumped the gun a bit. Based on the other threads from OP, seems like they don't fully understand the game quite yet, but definitely want to
this.
Thats your error. All ghosts in the game can and almost always do bring the room below 10 C. It's only a freezing temperature ghost if you either visually can see your breath, or if the thermometer shows you readings below 3 C.

Likewise, objective may say to witness EMF reading. That means anything above 1, but a clue for identification only counts at EMF 5.
