cant find the ghost on prison multiple times
In over 60% of the games i played on prison i cant seem to locate the ghost even after searching every room multiple times also im not sure if the metal creeking sound thats sounds like a door is only ambient sound or the ghost opening door

If anyone has a tip for me on how to find the ghost reliably on prison i would be gratefull

The door opening sound is ambient however sometimes you may hear an actual door opening it sounds a little different but the difference is so slight I can't really explain it.

Temperature was always reliable for finding the ghost room. You see a sub 13 degrees temp? Yep, that's the ghost room. Without a thermometer you have to rely on things like the ghost throwing stuff around in the room or finding some things on the floor that clearly should be somewhere on a table.

My biggest issue seems to be in B Block locating where to get ghost feedback when it is on the lower level. Have had mulitple games now where the entire bottom portion of the block has freezing temps and there appears to be 1 cell it is linked to, but then unable to get any feedback (emf, writing, fingerprints, spirit box) that should be tied to the primary location.

Ghosts aren't "tied" to individual cells. On the upper floor the ghost can be in any of the quarters. On the lower it may be either on the whole floor or in that control room to the right. It's not easy to get evidence there due to the big terrain to cover.

Prison actually has the best preset camera set ups of any of the maps, so the first thing I always do is check for orbs on the cameras already in the prison. Secondly, like with any big maps you should be listening for sounds. The metal creaking doesn't mean anything but the metal door slamming is one of the metal prison doors being moved by the ghost. Also there are the normal sounds of of doors opening since there are normal doors in the office area. Then you have heavy footsteps and objects being thrown like normal as well.

You also want to make sure you check out the downstairs office area thoroughly, as that is a place people often miss. So the first room upon entering, both sides of visitation and the small hallway leading into it from prison side, and the security office next to it. Then on the other side of the lobby there is the big room, and then the little office room inside of it. People often miss the little office room, and the prison side of visitation along with the security room. They are all separate rooms.

Prison block is separated into upstairs and downstairs so you will find temp changes in the huge area, and often times doors will be open, so it is easy to tell if they are in one of the two cell blocks. However, I still advise you actually walk into the entire cell area and look around as just peeking in the doorway and checking the temp might cause you to miss it.

Also make sure you check the backroom of the infirmary and all the way in the backroom that overlooks the cafeteria as well.

Agreed, when the ghost is in block B it's really hard getting any evidence, he usually hunts non stop and wherever you search for evidence in that block he won't give you anything

You do realise that both cell blocks are built the same? Getting the evidence is hard in both blocks because it's a lot of square meters to cover with your investigation. It's hard on the prison cell blocks just as much as it's hard on asylum corridors.
