Ouija board

I'm level 105 and I have yet to get a ouija board to work for me. My microphone work fine, spirit boxes respond, I ask it the right questions, it just *doesn't* work for me for some reason. It's so bad that I'll ask it the question, give up, walk away, then someone else will ask it a question and get an immediate response. Is there anyone else with this issue?

I'm not kidding. They can be picky on who they answer questions for. It's actually coded that way. Don't feel bad, it's them, not you.

well not all ghost responds to the ouija board even if 1 spawns in did u forgot to turn it on? it needs to light up (of course but i dont know if u know) and like the spirit box u need to know the voice commands he can pick up i always act where are you and it works perfect

Test your mic settings in the main menu. You might need to set the correct language in windows speech recognition.

What is happening when you ask a question? If you get something like the lights flickering in that room, or if it turns itself off and your sanity tanks, it means you got unlucky with the board.

So most important thing to remember is there is a random chance it will respond, it doesn't always. It is fairly common that you might have to repeat the question 5-6 times before it responds. So I wouldn't give up after just one or two tries. If it doesn't respond after 5 or 6 tries then have someone else try using it.

^This. There's a 33% chance each time you use the board that the lights will flicker somewhere near you, you will drop massive amounts of sanity, OR the ghost will respond. Provided you asked a question it can answer.

The questions that it can for sure answer are:

"Where are you?"
"What is your favourite room?"
"How old are you?"

And I think it can answer how long its been dead for. There's other questions but again they have to be simple enough for it to answer on the Ouija board.

Remember that each use of the Ouija board will drop your sanity a tiny bit with that 33% chance to massively tank your sanity. It can take awhile to get it to respond properly, so be prepared for hunts.

Also, I found since the last update my voice recognition is messed up despite it working for spirit box and other things. Ghost seems to not respond to me but will respond to others. Previously it was the other way around where they would not be able to use the Ouija board and I could. Not sure what's causing this issue.

Could be as was stated above it only responds to certain people every match. Dunno. :\

Ouija board doesn't seem to like me either, and it gets a little glitchy with me when it does decide to work. I often play with randoms so coordination is not the strong suit, meaning if a ouija board is found it's pretty common for everyone to gather around it and spam questions faster than the poor ghost can spell out answers if it's even inclined to do so. I usually just sit back and watch, from the other side of a doorframe if possible so I'm not technically in the same room, and yet I've gotten the sanity hit random chance despite not asking it anything myself. It's gotten to a point where if my team finds one I either go to the ghost room to do more investigating if they didn't drag it in there, or find a reason to go visit the truck until they are done fiddling with it. Especially since a lot of random players get frustrated with the lack of response and start antagonizing the hell out of the ghost to make something happen. Pretty sure it doesn't answer, "[ghost name] are you a little *****?" but it certainly likes to hunt afterwards.

Is there any map or difficulty that is particularly prone to having Ouija boards in it? I often get the daily task to get a response on one, but I can't seem to find them anymore. I'm looking in all the rooms and closets.

I believe there is a 1/3 chance of it spawning on any map. When they do it's normally somewhere a bit out of the way like the garage, basement, or storage rooms. Although, I have found them in some strange places before...and for whatever reason I seem to get like 2-3 voodoo dolls on the farmhouse maps but rarely get ouija. If I get a ouija on bleasdale it's usually either in the attic or in the office immediately left of the entrance. If I get one on Grafton it's almost always in the storage room behind the kitchen or the storage room in the upstairs bedroom on the right. Larger maps are harder to find it on to, I don't even really bother to look if it's High school or Asylum. If I stumble across one, neat...if not, oh well. In the normal suburban houses, it's almost always in the garage but you'll sometimes find it tucked away in a closet or utility room, sometimes basement.

Okay I know why it doesn't work for you, I've got the same problem. You need just hold "v" after asking question so it should look like this:
you press "v"
"Where are you"
(and here you need hold "v" for extra seconds)
It will work for you
