Are you asking about the “witness ghost activity” objective?

I am not sure but I believe things like the Ghost making the phone ring or moving things inside a room should count as a ghost activity.

You just have to be there to witness it.

Hunt mode definitly doesnt fulfill the objective
The Ghost just manifesting without huntin does trigger it

From what I've heard, I believe things like opening doors, flickering lights, ghost appearances (not hunts), throwing objects, sink water, and telephone ringing would be considered a ghost event to witness. I'm not 100% sure on all of those, but you're welcome to go and have fun experimenting a little since that's a lot what this game's about.

opening doors no. flickering lights no. throwing objects no. sink water no. I have witnessed all these events and he has not counted me for the mission. But it could be a glitch in the game, right?

I'm pretty sure you need the ghost to manifest (not as a hunt) in some form. Either appearing or have it make some noise in the room you are in. Hissing, growling, moaning, stuff like that.

Can confirm that Doors opening/closing and Lights going on/off Do NOT count. Was standing at the door to the ghost's room and asked for a sign, it spammed the lights and slammed the door on my face. Didn't get the objective until I had seen the ghost.

In short, the only thing that counts is witnessing the ghost then.

Actually from what I have seen experiencing a ghost event actually increases your sanity. 99% sure it's a bug, at least I reaally hope so.

But if I look in the truck and see 60s sanity, go in and see the ghost manifest, it will be in the 80s when I check again most of the time.

I also frequently notice rather large differences in sanity levels, one player usually has a much higher percentage after events happen.
