How can you play with friends in other countries?

Is there in any way to have friends from other countries join your private server? Every time I try is tells me the game does not exist.

Just switch the server to the same server. For example, if you're connected to EU, just have all your friends connect to EU as well. You can change it in the lobby screen.

Weird, cause we both tried and it continued to kick us out to lobby. Let me give it another go

I play with friends un the US and EU normally. I'm in SA.
