Game forcing my PC to restart

I brought the game and I started the game like normally without VR, took me to the loading screen then it stopped at 3% where the game made my computer restart.

Anyone have this issue?

I fixed it, you have to set the maxfps on NVIDIA Control Panel (If you have NVIDIA Card).

Setting max fps to 30, 60, 75, 85, 100, 120, or 144 did nothing to change my issue. I still crash and then get a forced restart right after the unity logo.

I have a 1080, even more mind boggling for me is that I've never had a problem playing any other unity-based game (Fall Guys, GTFO, Risk of Rain 2, Goose Game, Beat Saber, Tarkov.....I could go on). I've found that they play quite nicely for me to be honest. Also PC holds under Prime95 and Furmark, zero issues. Memtest comes up clean and I've tried the latest, and rolled back my drivers, neither work.

This worked for me, i was able to get it to launch and run at 60, 90, 120, 165 (my screen max fps) and it worked a charm, turned it off and straight to restart.

That is NOT normal behaviour of your hardware. Expect more issues to follow.

Since someone else has updated this topic, I just wanted to say that I was still unable to fix the issue. The game would never load for me. I ended up getting a refund. I could not replicate the crash & forced restart with any other game, or with any stress test. I went as far as to borrow a power supply from someone just to eliminate that as the culprit. No dice. No phasmophobia for me, I guess.

It is for Nvidia. Never update your gpu if you're not having problems.
