Ghosts can start the hunt far away from the ghost room?
Just did a mission on one of the farmhouses, and we discovered the ghost room was an upstairs bathroom. We got all the evidence, and confirmed 100% that it was the ghost room. I thought the ghost had to start hunting in the ghost room or an adjacent room? But one time when I re-entered the house and went into the room on the left to get a photo of the voodoo doll there behind the fan, the ghost started hunting. Too late I saw shadowy legs there and what do you know, it was the ghost. So it got me right there in that room. But this room was downstairs and practically the furthest away you could get from the ghost room. Is this a bug or can they start hunting in any room in the house?

Depends on the ghost type. Wraiths can teleport to a close player, banshees will be near it's target, while some only have activities in its room.

As for hunts, it can hunt at any moment it chooses. Depending on the average of the teams sanity. Except for demons, who can hunt without reason.

Yeah they can hunt any where. They hunt where ever they are standing, so roaming ghosts are more likely to hunt from outside their room than those that have not wandered much. Some times people complain about motion sensors, and uv light sensors and stuff not doing much but those are the tools you can use to tell how often and where a ghost is roaming. If you don't use them then you are putting yourself at risk, even if it doesn't happen that often.

So I have since found out that the Ghost was a Banshee, since they can teleport to a room nearby their target, which is what this ghost did when I re-entered the house. I then proceeded to walk straight into the room with the ghost. But yeah seems it can hunt from any room.

they are also good at knowing which parts of a room or hallway the ghosts actually go through.
