That would be fairly simple I would think with colliders and/or objects that block movement.
Or just make it to where every ghost is a Wraith.
I agree. There are already many nice ideas. But you should distinguish between pure map creation/level design and a completely functional map (with possible ghost spawn points, pathfinding, logic, etc.). So if you create only a map/level design the rest remains with the developer to implement this.
The developer uses the Unity Engine. There are already tools, but in most cases you have to buy them. Creating your own takes time and requires the appropriate know-how. But I understand your thought behind it.
As Tyler says, these are assets from the Unity Store. I also think that this is a single license and therefore it cannot be shared with people who work outside the Kinetic Games company.
To make a long story short: Even if the ideas always sound so simple, most of them are not.
Dev: Nah, I'll just purchase assets instead.
I agree with you in part. Not every community content is useful. This may be because the will is there, but the right implementation is missing or completely exaggerated. But with large communities you can see that there is really practical and beautiful content. And Phasmophobia undoubtedly has a large community. I think apart from those who are trolls or show childish coolness, there is certainly one or the other player who can create level designs that are just as good. :)
