Anyone else seeing weird smoke trails in the prison?
Every so often I'll just see a trail of smoke fly through rooms in the prison, like the trail of something flying around. It's only visible for a split second, but it's definitely traveling through rooms and not just appearing all at once. I thought it might be the cold breath effect glitching out, but there's way too much volume for that, and I think it might be a different kind of particle.

I initially thought it was a Ghost Wisp or something.

I assume it's probably a glitch of some sort, but it would be cool if it were an intentional effect.
I think, only think can't verify, that appears when the ghost is about to 'breathe' in someones ear maybe they are not in the same room, its more obvious in large open spaces but even in smaller maps have seem something resembling that fly through the wall/door.

This. It's mostly always happened when the ghost "breathes", but often gets missed because it's there and gone. And if there's freezing temps it's even harder to notice. Pretty sure this is what you're getting. I just call it "the wisp".

No no it's something else, iv'e seen it too. One time when I was walking out the Prison it was high up on the actual sky(box), I thought it was a shooting star effect, but you see it flying around on ground level most. Edit: Iv'e only seen it on the prison map.

Now that I think back, that has showed up everytime someone got screamed at in their ears.
So that is likely the culprit.

I had it happen very early on, and nothing happened in relation to it. It just appeared, flew outside through the window, and that's it.
It would be cool if it could actually be used for a spook, or even if it could give a hint of a general direction of the ghost room for a focused observer.

And, you may very well be getting something new. I've not had the opportunity to play the prison map yet to know for sure. However, if the wisp does not hit someone, or come close, there is no "breath". At least in my experience.

Yep, that was the "breath" wisp.

That looks exactly like the 'breathing in someone ear' trail, but in that context it makes no sense, so going to have to say its a probably a bug. Although I do notice it flys by very close to where he was standing moments before, so maybe the breath had a long way to travel and just missed because he had moved? I really don't know.

Given how everyone else seems to correlate it with a breath happening, perhaps the instance I witnessed was actually the bug, with it doing nothing.

Hmmm. The wisp might be glitching on this map, but it did miss him so not clear on that. It is absolutely the "breath" one though. No question.

Might be a glitch, can't say. But in the video just posted it did miss him, though came close. Just not enough to make a call.

In visual appearance it is exactly the same, as for the code, I can't really say.
