Fast ghosts in beta can sprint....

So that was terrifying. Fast ghost's now outright sprint at you, and their footsteps match their movement speed.

I was just looking around in prison when it started hunting at the end of a long hallway; when I heard feint footsteps, and then suddenly rapid and increasing speed until they were like THUD THUD THUD THUD within seconds and they just took one of us right out.

Dude sprinted like he was in the olympics. (Jinn)

They've always been able to run. Jinns are generally terrifying. I had a Jinn child run down the stairs in the house I was in and snap my neck

They never actually did audibly and such though afaik, they just moved faster. Sorta floated at you faster and such, I mean now they haul ass haha.

Oh no. I had a child ghost book it towards me. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. So it's happened before. For me at least anyway lol

Pajama girl and tooth child are the fastest ones in game, outside of any of them being a Revenant, I think.

Revenant seems pretty fast if your not near anyone at the time.
jinn is fast if the power is on.

Also i know what ya mean i had a child ghost in new prison running about but it sounded like a massive spider running across the floor. It really gives it a more scary feeling though

All ghosts are the same speed unless it's a Revenant chasing a player in line of sight or a Jinn that is far away from players.

Really? I swear I've seen them move faster than the others.

I just used to see them come at you but they just kinda like stood in a standing animation and just glided at you.

This was my first time seeing one have an actual running animation and full run at me with the footstep sound matching his fast running pace. I had no idea they did that on the live server too now haha.

Alot of people often "swear" they've seen things and that's how misinformation spreads. Every ghost is slightly slower than the player's sprinting speed. You could have exaggerated various speed increases due to how the ghosts flicker, but I assure you unless it's a Jinn or a Revenant there's absolutely no difference. Other things that could affect your judgement are if you don't cut corners/turns well since the ghost always takes the shortest route to get to someone in its line of sight.

Some ghosts have animations and some don't as far as I know. I've seen ones that physically step as they go towards you and ones that just glide without animations for a long time now.

I've only seen ones that glide and ones that walk before yeah.
