Problems with the Global Voice Chat

So here is the thing. Local Voice Chat works. However global chats stops working after a few minutes into a round. I here that people are using the radio but accept for the static background noise i here nothing. I am not talking about the ghost blocking the radio on a hunt. Is there any fix. Restarting solves nothing as it happens again each round after a few minutes.

Try the following troubleshoot options:

• Open Steam, then right click into the game and then Properties. Click on Files then "Verify integrity of game files". If you still have doubts on how to do it, check this guide.[support.sega.co.uk]

• When that happens, tab out of the game and reopen it by clicking it's icon on the taskbar. Click B and check if your teammates can hear you. I'm sure it's some temporary bug when it comes to audio since a lot of players seem to have that issue and it'll eventually get an hotfix.

The first step is something that i have done right away, perhaps i didnt mention that i play the beta branch. But the bug also appears in the standard version of the game.

About the second option.
My local alwys works but the global stops working. Not sure if that wasnt clear enough. However i tried tabbing out and then entering the game back via Icon and it still dindt worked.

The last thing is something that i unchecked. I hope this will work.

You should have your microphone exclusive use option unchecked because Phasmophobia doesn't deal very well with other programs using your microphone simultaneously. Per example, if you were in a Discord call, using the microphone in Phasmophobia wouldn't work because the exclusive use would be for Discord and not for the game.

Yeah this is unchecked but does not work
as I am in a round and my global stopped working. Even while making my audio devices non exclusives

But and that is interesting people can hear me communicating in global, but i cat hear a response from them or any words spoken in global. Local is still fine

Try this again, make sure you do the exact same steps shown below.

Once in game, alt + tab out of Phasmophobia, but do not alt + tab back into Phasmophobia, Instead, click the Phasmophobia icon in your taskbar to re-open the game. Now, hold B once to talk and ask your teammates if they can hear your Walkie-talkie.

Ok I narrowed a few things down.

Everytime I play Highschool this bug occurs. When doing the trick you recommended in another round after it is fixed and works again.

It's a temporary troubleshooting method. I'm confident it'll get a fix soon in upcoming patches. You're welcome.

I have exactly the same problem, it's super annoying. At the beginning of the game, I can hear my mates perfectly on the radio, and poof, nothing! They can hear me, but I can't hear them on the radio. I tried to change windows with Alt + Tab, it doesn't work. I restarted the game several times, the problem is still there! I even reinstalled the game, no difference. I don't know what to do anymore :(

If doing what I suggested to OP didn't work for you, I'd recommend you to join Phasmophobia's Discord[discord.gg] and report that in #bug-reports. Also check #common-bug-fixes to see if you can find your solution for now.

I followed that recommendation and filled a bug report and checked if there is another solution to this problem. Unfortunaly i found nothing that would fix the bug.

Since this problems occured on my side it has been magically fixed. I can explain what happend and what i did but I suspect an beta update to fix this.

Mine is working as well again on beta, didnt try on the normal server yet

This bug still exists in standard servers. Cannot hear global outside of radio presses. Can hear local fine. Verifying fixed for one round and problem resumed the next
