Can ghosts hear you say their name, in the van?

I don't believe so. Unless you're saying it over the walkie??? I have no facts for that, just my personal experience though.

I don't think so either. I mean it would be easy enough to me to test actually. Also I do know that trolling while standing just a little bit short of entering the building works. Great if you have crucifixes and need to prevent a hunt. I usually save that for last (or just not do it.)

I'm not too sure but once when my brother had to go check on his son (as he woke up while we were playing at night) I was in the van on my own and decided to see if it would react to me while in the van.

I was saying the ghosts name and the level of activity was increasing. Now I am not sure if it just naturally increased and so was good timing with me talking to it over the radio or if the increase was due to me saying its name. As I said though I did do it over the radio so not sure if that helped or not.

Edit: though when my brother came back and we went in the house it was definitely acting more aggressive but not sure if that was due to how much time went by or because it had in fact heard me.

If that's not already a thing, they should add it!
Make players be careful over what they say, but also how they say it. IE stay off the radio during a hunt, or you'll give away your companion's positions!

I added a suggestion in the other forum, with the ability for a player to turn their own radio off.

Honestly though, if people are being ♥♥♥♥♥, they will always find a way to screw you. What's to stop a troll from say grabbing the crucifix off the floor and running away to hide it, or constantly flipping the breaker, or hiding all the sanity pills? Trolls will find a way.

I've said the ghost's name over the walkie from the van and it immediatly went into hunt.
