Making my PC shut off instantly?
Anybody else having problems with launching the game? I can run other games just fine but this one makes my pc shut down every time.

that would be a computer issue, not a game issue. I can not think of any reason a game would make your computer just turn off. Shut down? Sure. Turn off on its own? Haven't heard of that before.

Yeah, like Riker said I would be looking to see if there are issues with the pc you are running the game on.

Does it actually go through the shut down process or does it just cut off the power?

I think the same thing as riker but u can try to uninstall and re install

If your pc is shutting down that might suggest it is overheating and shutting itself down to save the system. I would download a hardware monitor and check temps. Some have reported that this game uses 100% of their cpu or gpu until they turn on vsynch, if that is the case with you it might be ramping up your machine to the point of overheating. Check your temps, and cpu/gpu usage, enable vsynch and see if thats the problem.

You're not the only one, i just posted about this too. I think it might be a problem of the Unity engine that causes overheating in the GPU. Try to cap you framerate with a program or using the V-Sync option (It can kill your performance tho).

Your pc is haunted, pour holy water over it. Only actual solution

That sounds like a faulty/dying Power Supply

I'm playing max settings 4k 60fps & It maxes my 1080 TI if that tells you anything about gpu optimization

Well that's 4k at 60fps which is intensive in general and became a advertising factor for the 3080 cards that they can do it more reliable.

This game does try to hog as many resources as possible, if you have something that tries to take it, you can feel it.
Just having someone's screen sharing on Discord open on another monitor takes a good 40-50 frames(uncapped framerate) at 1440p on a 2070. That's pretty substantial lol.
I can't imagine weaker machines with just chrome open how many frames you could potentially lose.

PC issue. NOT the game

What is your power supply wattage and lifetime

I'd really be expecting a blue screen or freeze if the cpu were overheating, and graphical errors like artifacts or the image dropping out entirely if it were the gpu.

I'd be suspicious of the psu as well if the pc just shuts itself off with no warning.

PSU going bad from my experience. Would occur with some games.
To debug, go buy a nice new one, swap em, then return it if it doesn't fix.

just cuts the power and restarts itself
