Unable to pick up items

This issue started today and continued even after restarting my game. Sometimes I can pick up items then all of sudden I won't be able to pick up any more items.

This thread is about 2 years old, so we can only guess they figured it out. I would suggest hitting up the discord, they can provide more timely responses. In the meantime, if you have not changed your button layout, the default key is "E" to pick up, and you can hold 3 items at a time before needing to drop one (default key G to drop, F to place as a usable item for things like the writing book)
