i know it's not asylum, but i've managed to find the ghost in the high school twice within 60 seconds by just checking the cameras and catching a door opening.
Maybe even a cart of some sort that requires one or two people to push in, that carries maybe 8 or so items. Maybe something with a mobile readout of the motion/sound sensors and a video monitor so one person isn't related to van duty (and is kept on their toes because they're inside).
I almost feel like it's easier solo... usually the hunt starts and I don't even hear the ghost because I'm off lugging equipment around.
I disagree. Have gotten $360 on a pro asylum and completed it faster than a farm house. It’s about learning how to search large areas efficiently and effectively. Some of the more advanced tools (parabolic mic being foremost) are really effective on them.
We had one guy in the van directing us, two players went down the right side stairs together. I went alone to the left upper floor. After clearing the left side i went to the basement where the other two people met me. Then we went up to the right side upper floor and searched for the ghost until we found it. It did take quiet some time, and it got pretty intense with loads of hunts and high activity spikes.
But the thing is the asylum is so big that finding a place to hide should be pretty easy.
Edit: I turn on lights because ghosts like to flash them when they're nearby.
It can be a fun map and can be really tense at times, so I am not complaining. I just think it should pay a bit more.
