Ask him stuff like: "How old are you?", "Where are you?"
If you are lucky, the ghost will answer and you have your evidence.
Also important to check the white board in the van. Some ghosts only respond to people who are alone.
Hope it helped.
in my experience, so long as local voice chat works for you, the box will work.
generally, you have to have the box in the ghost's favorite room. you can be holding it or not. you can ask it questions, and those do provoke answers, but it will respond to just about any noise coming through your mic. solo, keying voice coms may not be necessary, but in groups it's responded both to local and radio being keyed.
of note, especially on intermediate difficulty maps or harder, the ghost may just hold back on the box. i've noticed that as difficulty goes up, the ghost gets stingier with providing evidence.
Come on now, I hear you're feeling down 😜😂
Skip to 3:50, she explains how it works in rl (because that's how I understood the question).
The outputs of the spirit box are supposed to be the answers the ghost gives to your questions, if you got the right frequency. They might also be just broken words from a radio show. Who knows.
