Chat for people who don't have mic
At least put chat option in lobby while you wait for players...It would be more usefull and easier to interacti with other people who dont have mice or who use discord or servers like that

The Game is meant to be played with a working Microphone.

It even says this everytime you boot the game up "for the best experience please have headphones and a microphone"

Yeah but unfortunately the voice system right now is dumb inconsistent and doesn't seem to work half the time.

I wouldn't mind having a text chat as long as it follows the same rules as voice whenever a ghost starts hunting or paranormal activity is present.

Yeah, ideally everyone has a microphone. But the game is buggy right now and people have technical issues. If not a text chat system than at least a wheel of responses like "yes" or "no".

If youre having Voice Chat issues, thats mostly your fault for failing setting it up correctly.

Or the developers for not making it as straight forward as any other game that uses basic voice functions.

You can get a mic for $5. Do that.

You know its just in the options menu you push the button and say the line it says and it works. I can't see how this is not straight forward
I asked multiple people that I've played with and every one of them agreed that developers should make a chat room in lobby for other reasons, not for playing but to connect either over steam or any other platform. you have absolute no way, no option for adding people you meet in public lobby, even if you enter his name on steam there is mostly around 30k people on the steam that goes under same name or at least close to the name you search for. Yesterday I've spent around half hour trying to find a guy that I played with, there was 46k results on steam. Please consider that.

You have a list of people you have played with on steam though.
You can just open your steam overlay, look at his name and add him.

There is still issues regarding the voice chat, we've been playing for the past week with no problems yet today a friends in game chat kept dropping out mid match, the radio hiss wasnt even there on the button press

I got around this issue by agreeing on radio static codes (longs and shorts -- 1 short "got it", 2 short "heard something", 2 long "power on" etc) and flash light spam for "look".

(Also in van, long statics for ghost type)

While i guess they could make an average voice sound (maybe a duration depending on how meany words aswell) Its much easier to be like just disable the chat system while a hunt is active

This would also make its easy and more realisitc because youd be useing an equipment (like a tablet or something) To type in the chat (Keep in mind this game can be playd in VR so how they gonna see chat) which would make it easy for VR players and simple enough to implament

But none the less voice communication is the best option and This game is much better with freinds
