My game is stuck at 90% loading

The game was working fine than all of a sudden I launched it after having to ALT + F4 because I was stuck in a mission and it wouldn't let me leave now every-time I try to load in I'm stuck at 90% of the game loaded. I tried verifying my files re-downloading the game restarting my PC so on and am currently stumped about what i need to do in order for it to let me in. I even tried just leaving it on for around 30 minutes and it still didn't go so if anyone has any idea why the problem may be happening or a solution it would be greatly appreciated.

It usually gets stuck for me at 90% and it loads in eventually. You go directly into the game. Not even 100%. Takes me a minute or so at this point depending on the map. Not sure about your issue though.

Same here.
I've launched the game in Desktop mode and it gets stuck at 90%, no matter how much time you wait, It won't load.
At some point I start hearing background noises and a voice, but the game remains stuck on that 90%.
We are talking about launching the game, so the map here doesn't really come into play.

Moved the game to an SSD but the issue is still there, even after reinstalling.

Does your PC meet the required specs? Do they just barely meet the requirements? Me and all my friends have never gotten stuck at 90% for long. Usually for me it shoots from 0% to 90%, then after 1-2 seconds I load in to both the main lobby or into an actual map, and my game isn't even on an SSD. Literally takes me like 5 seconds to load TOPS with the game on an HDD and my pc isn't even a beast or anything.

If your PC isn't a potato, try verifying game cache then restarting your pc(just for good measure), then try to launch the game again.

Well the game functioned fine before and even launched up around the speed you guys are saying. What's weird is all of a sudden it won't go past 90% loading when I launch it even after leaving on for 30 minutes after previously having it on for around 5 seconds and it going in. I tried verifying game files and reinstalling it all together but seemingly it didn't work since it still held me at the 90% for around 15 minutes before I closed the game since I was in a call and my friends had wanted to do something different. I know my specs well meet the requirements to run the game so I don't know what error occurs that causes it to launch up play the first audio quo and ambiance but never shifts my screen to the actual in game character and sticks in loading. I feel like it could be because of the alt f4 I did before causing the game to kinda be stuck in a previous end state since I did it when the car wouldn't leave the mission? But saying this I know so little about coding or the actual games code that I have no reason to believe it would store a state like that after closing. Trying it today it seems to still be broken so after exhausting a lot of options I may just end up having to wait for an update or something but if anyone does think of a solution I'd still be happy to give it a shot.

if you go to C:\Users\ProfileName\AppData\LocalLow\Kinetic Games\Phasmophobia
you can find your save file. In this case the save file is most likely corrupted. You can try deleting your save file but then you maybe lose all of your progress. If you delete your save files then I can recommend you to back them up.

ive ended up getting in once yesterday but tried to get into a game and the game crashed, it doesnt work in vr aswell, so ive been trying to do whatever to try to fix it because its also getting stuck at 90 percent, it doesnt help that i dont know anything about computers

Somdre is right in terms of the solution just make sure when you go to look for the files your files aren't in hidden mode or else it won't pop up when you put it into your file directory. You will lose your progress as mentioned and you will want to likely back them up in the same sense. The problem is caused from Alt-F4ing mid game seemingly since me and my friend tested it and that most commonly got the bug to occur just as a heads up

I have deleted my save file and reinstalled the game and its done nothing for me so far. Ran in admin, verified game files (which worked first few times), but now nothing. Issue isn't min specs either, using 32gb of ram, 3700x, and a 5700xt :\

That's what happened to me. I'm now at lvl53. I really hope there's a fix for this.
