is it even possible to take a picture of the ghost during the hunt

sometimes i just stop hiding during the hunt and try to take a pic of the ghost but i never can because the ghost is like flashing inbetween my pictures is it possible to take a pic of him during the hunt ?

Well, I took lot of pictures while being hunted by the ghost. So yeah it is possible.

It's very possible, however phantoms disappear when trying to take a picture of them, but other ghost types don't. It can be hard to take a picture of them sometimes though if they won't show themselves unless they are hunting. Sometimes they'll pop up and just show themselves without entering hunting mode, and that's the best time to take pictures, but there's no surefire way of getting them to do that.

Me and my friend did a hunt yesterday that was a "only responds to people alone". We took turns going into the room and the other stayed in the truck. He was in the room when activity suddenly hit like 8 and on the camera i saw the ghost standing in front of a bookshelf and i called it out and he turned and snapped a pic and got a PERFECT picture of the ghost standing there. It can be done, you just have to do it correctly. He also died in that house a bit later though, even though he was crouched in a corner, and so was i in the same corner, but the ghost murdered him. shame shame, but its doable!

The ghost only kills one person per hunt, that's why only your friend died. Also hiding in a corner doesn't do anything to stop the ghost from hunting you. There are other variables that decide if it finds you or not when it's hunting. You need to not talk on mic, not use any equipment(like having the spirit box on will help it find you, but flashlight apparently doesn't help it so you can keep that on), and go to a room that the hunt DID NOT start in, then shut the door. I almost never die even on professional unless I get caught in an open area with no room to enter or some other areas that just cuck you(i'm looking at you Farmhouse!).
