Voice chat always on in VR?

I played the other day in VR with 2 friends who were not playing in VR. What I found out is that I was constantly talking in game via proximity but would have to hold my hand up to my ear to talk over the radio. Is there any way to turn off the always on voice in vr?

No, you'd have to mute ur mic

That's just how it works in VR. You'd need a way to mute your mic.

Thats the point of the VR functionality is to Immerse yourself actually in the house as the Ghost Hunter, You're not Telepathic in real life so it doesn't make any sense to mute yourself so you can talk to the others in discord without notifying the ghost, Have them turn push to talk off for Local chat and then use B for Walkie Talkie for the best Immersive experience. You now all have to make sure you keep the Coms clear to hear for any signs of Falling objects, The Ghost whispering in your ear, footsteps etc & then go outside to have your discussions about all findings for your safety net, at this point you should also be checking your motion sensors and cameras from the computer to see if you can gather your last clues remotely to make your decision and leave or go back inside to finish looking for evidence. Also anything you take on a hunt if you die you lose all the items you brought on the hunt so you need to be careful and strategic.
