Can Devs add typing?
Not everybody wants to talk on mic with strangers. Is typing a possibility?

I mean voice recognition is a crucial part of this game, I don't think they should.

Agreed. Voice recognition makes this game so immersive and special. Also how dumb would it feel to type ingame everytime u need to talk to the ghost

This game relies heavily on speaking with your team/voice recognition. I think adding a chat would discourage people to play the game the way it is meant to be played.

Seems kind of counter-intuitive to the whole purpose of this game
made discussion about this

No please. That would be the beginning of the end for this game. Buy a mic, they're super cheap nowadays.

Honestly, I have to disagree with those here. Could you imagine cursed text appearing in your chatbox? Distorted and animated? I think it would function the same, just visual instead of audible. You do lose that immersion, but it's a small price to pay for alternative communication.

The game is about mic chat, play with your friends or make some friends.

why loose immersion when hunters can use tablets

It would leave out the VR players though, they would miss the text. And the alternative would be to put the text in the first person view for them but that would greatly break the immersion for the VR players like myself. I think the only way to do it without breaking immersion would be to add an additional item ( a non verbal ghost communicator thingy) that can be placed in the haunted room. Players could interact with this item to write and receive texts from the ghost. Personally I think adding texts would be stupid and hurt the immersion greatly, as well as discourage newer players from even trying to use a mic. All VR players automatically have mics, so the more mics that non VR players have the better for us VR players. Mute players in general bring the gameplay down quite a lot. Most rooms I've joined kick players who are silent because voice is such an integral part of the game.

imagine having to stop everything just to type to the ghost every few seconds
You can't be shy for your whole life. You're going to need to learn to communicate with others

Please no. If you don't want to talk on the mic with strangers then this game just might not be for you.

This sounds like a terrible idea and goes against core mechanics. If you don't want to talk to people then solo queue. Nothing says you have to play with people. If you don't want to talk at all then the game isn't for you.

No game is for everyone and they never should be.

I suck at fighting games, but I like watching them played. Do I buy fighting games? No. Why? Because I suck at them. I don't want them to be made so I don't suck at them because they wouldn't be as fun to play.

I communicate with clients all the time for my job, no problem. I just don't fancy playing with toxic 12 year olds or weirdos screaming down the mic/ acting strange.
